Interior design: Ephemeral Drugstore

Because of the temporary transfer of a drug store to a garage next-door, we design a project of ephimeral architecture able of renovating the brand and revitalizing an anodyne urban context. In consonance with the temporary condition of this reused space, the proposal only modifies the skin of the building, and can be easily removed. The design team built the intervention themself, using graffiti, rubber pavements and hanged lights in a dynamic process. The images that inspired the graffities were selected from the pharmaceutical imaginary, so they act as advertisement and identity of the business. The proposal was understood as an urban art work that reflects the capacity of small architecture projects as revulsive and activator of a part of the city.

Con motivo del traslado temporal de una farmacia a un local contiguo se realiza una propuesta de arquitectura efímera capaz de revitalizar un entorno urbano anodino. En consonancia con el carácter transitorio del local reutilizado se propone una intervención epidérmica que pueda ser fácilmente restituida cuando retorne el uso de garaje. Para ello se usan grafittis, pavimentos de goma y luces descolgadas cuya ejecución, realizada por los miembros del estudio, se convierte en un proceso dinámico y abierto. Las imágenes que inspiran los grafittis se han escogido del imaginario farmaceútico, actuando como reclamo y anuncio del negocio. La propuesta se entiende como una obra de arte urbano que refleja la capacidad de una arquitectura de pequeña escala como revulsivo y activador de una parte de ciudad.
